Ideal Weight for Women

The ideal weight for women will depend on her height, age and size. It is best recommended that each and every woman should know the exact weight on her age and height. Being fat is not really a bad idea, as we all know we also need fats to help us going in our daily activities. It also makes our hormones and nerve cells to absorb some soluble fat vitamins. What you need now is to check with your doctor, dietitian or a BMI to determine the right weight for you. You can even do some research online on how to identify your best weight.
Here are some handy tips on how to check your ideal body weight base on your height and frame size. A woman who stands at 5 feet tall should weigh 100 pounds. If you are over 5 feet tall, you should add 5 pounds in every inch to get your best weight. If you fall below 5 feet, just deduct 5 pounds in every inch and it will give you the ideal weight too.
Your frame size also a factor to check the best weight that you need to know. Now you're going to measure your frame size. Measure your wrist using the measuring tape. If your wrist measure below 6 inches you are considered small, then you just deduct 10 percent from your perfect weight. If your wrist measures above 6 inches, then you are considered large and you just add 10 percent from your ideal weight. If you measure exactly 6 inches you don't need any calculation to adjust your weight.
Now you have your ideal weight using a handy tip above. Being over weight in a matter of 10-20 pounds is not really an issue to have a strict diet program. What you need is to reduce unhealthy food intake to keep you fit and healthy. You can loss those extra pounds with the help of regular exercise. A healthy food and right exercise will give you a healthy lifestyle.

You Need To Be Wise If You Want To Lose Weight

Common sense and an approach that considers the realities in your life are far more likely to help you lose weight than some fancy diets, exhausting workouts or those miracle pills. All these are far more likely to have you parting with your hard- earned money, thus reducing the weight of your purse.
A Simple Common Sense Approach to Weight Loss
Examine your present lifestyle, eating habits, diet constituents, and physical exertions. Make a complete list of everything, sit yourself down, and go through it critically. Do you have a regular routine, or one which keeps you awake at all odd times? Do you eat in front of the television or computer, and are rarely aware of what you eat? Do you eat a lot of fast food? Are you drinking too many colas or other fizzy drinks? Is your exercise routine one that is sporadic?
A "yes" answer to all or most of these questions is a sure sign that you need to get more control over your life, diet and exercise routines, if you are to benefit yourself in any way, in attempts at weight loss.
Making Those Changes
Human beings are meant to work for eight hours a day, sleep for another eight hours, and have eight hours left over for leisure, social activities and other things. Ensure that you make for yourself a routine that enables you to work correctly, sleep adequately and relax sufficiently. This itself will get your body into a rhythm that will enable all your bodily systems to work correctly and this can help weight loss.
Switch off that television or your computer and see that you take your meals at the dining table. If in the office, find an outside area where you can eat your sandwich in piece, away from the computer or telephone. Eat slowly whenever you do so, making sure to bite correctly. This will enable your gastric juices to work efficiently to digest your meals. See if you can stop going back for refills.
Fast food contains a lot of refined carbohydrates, fats and salt. All these help you to put on weight and are best avoided. A simple brown bread sandwich carried from home can give you far better nutrition. Carry along some fruits or nuts and nibble on them whenever you feel hungry. Cut out the fizzy drinks and colas. Reduce your intake of coffee especially if you are used to taking cream and sugar in it. This can reduce the intake of sugar, which can in turn help you to lose weight. Ensure that you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and avoid the heavy red meats. Switch over to brown bread.
Make exercises a part of your daily routine. Consider this as important as eating or going to work. This does not have to be anything elaborate and can be something as simple as walking, jogging or cycling. Gym routines can always help, but need sufficient motivation. Making a habit to climb up stairs, walk down to the supermarket and avoid using your car wherever you can.
Try out all these simple common sense tips and there is every chance that you will be well on the way to your weight loss goals. Do not expect or want drastic results. Very high weight loss can cause other problems like loose skin and loss of vitality.

Losing Weight Doesn't Have to Be a Death Sentence - Discover How I Lost a Total of 52 Pounds

losing weight  doesn't have to be a painful experience, it can be quite exciting and liberating when you see your body change before your eyes.
In fact, embarking on my latest and last diet, I lost 7 pounds in my first 2 weeks which motivated me to stay with it.
24 weeks later and 52 pounds lighter I can reflect back and say that this has been the best one I've ever done.
With other diets I've been on, the issue for me was always food. I didn't like being told I could only eat this much and if I wanted this I had to trade that for it so that it all even out in the crazy world of points balancing. The restrictions were limiting and frustrating for me.
If I knew I was going to begin a low calorie diet, I would binge like crazy the night before, kind of like the "eat drink and be merry" attitude. Then I'd get cravings the next day and by my 3rd or 4th day have already blown it big time.
This time around has been great because I haven't felt the same restrictions I have in so many other diets I've done in the past.
I eat my set meals but I can mix and change them up depending upon my preference for that day.
Here's what I would eat over a 2 day period to see what I mean.
DAY 1
Meal 1 - Scrambled eggs
Meal 2 - Home made fruit salad
Meal 3 - Steak With Sweet Potatoes
Meal 4 - pumpkin seed & Almonds
Meal 5 - CHEAT - 3 hour cheat
DAY 2
Meal 1 - Breakfast wrap
Meal 2 - Home made fruit salad
Meal 3 - Papaya-Avocado Salad
Meal 4 - cottage cheese & Tuna Crisp bread
Meal 5 - Red Meat and Steamed Veggies
Never once did I feel like I was starving or hungry.
When it comes to losing weight, you really do have to be happy with what you eat because diet is 50% of your weight loss equation. If you don't like the food, you won't be able to stick to it and you should never have to force yourself into eating something you don't want to. You won't be in it for the long hall otherwise.
So to lose weight  without feeling like you are missing out, make sure you're happy with your diet and your portions and when you find that balance, the weight will just drop off from your body.

Love and Weight Loss

Most of my old friends can tell you that I used to be the eternal optimist. I was always a "glass half full" kind of girl. After gaining weight and failing at so many diets, my optimism slowly faded away, I became self confident about the way I looked and I had developed low self esteem. It wasn't until I decided to focus on me, and not everyone else around me, that I began to think more positive and lose weight.
I started by taking that scary naked look in the mirror. I didn't like what I saw at first, but I stood there naked, for about 15 minutes. I looked at my hair, my neck, my breast, my stomach and my thighs and I began to cry. How did I let my body get this way? I am my own worst critic and that was a long critical 10 minutes in front of the mirror. Then the light bulb went off and I realized that I did this, not anyone else and I knew I had the power to change my life. The lyrics to the whitney houston song "Greatest Love of All" came to mind. Learning to love yourself; it is the greatest love of all.
I tapped into my self love and started to see myself in a different light. I believed that I could lose this weight and get back to being the positive, "glass half full" girl that I used to be. I spent the last 5 minutes in front of the mirror smiling and being thankful for a chance to get my body back in shape. As I put my clothes back on I began to be thankful that I still had clothes that fit. Then I was thankful for being able to walk on my own two feet, and that I had two arms that worked and the list goes on.
I didn't feel like the positive thinking was helping at first until I found out that there have been numerous studies showing that over weight people who believe they will lose weight, have been more successful at losing weight and keeping it off. The studies also showed that the confident weight loss participants lost more weight than their negative dieting partners. Arlene K. Unger, PhD, a Wellness Coach at The Center for Empowerment in Dana Point, CA says that "The basis of a positive attitude in a weight loss regime is the belief that no matter what, I will succeed. This is what supports positive behavior change and discourages negative habits." Knowing that I will succeed has helped me change my bad habits and live a healthier life style.
Maya Angelou says "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain." She is absolutely right. It wasn't until I stopped complaining about my weight and made up my mind to change my life style that I started to see positive results. I began to believe that I could lose this weight and I started working toward my goals. It is really a life style change. If you change your mind, then you can change your life.

Losing Weight with the Body for Life Program

Most weight loss  programs focus on either diet or exercise, but that might just turn out to be a mistake. effective weight loss  depends on both, as part of an integrated program. That's just what the body for life  program delivers.
This is a program that combines a specialized diet consisting of five carefully balanced meals a day, combined with the right nutritional supplement  and exercise that is done at specific times of the day. That, perhaps, is the key to the success of this program - the instructions are very detailed, so deciding to follow the program at all inspires a lot of dedication. Also, the results on this program tend to be very quick, which does a lot to encourage people to stick with it, even though it may be difficult.
The Body for Life program is explained in a book of the same name, and taking a quick look inside the cover of this book just might get you hooked. These pages are a composite of many 'before' and 'after' pictures - with a difference. Everyone starting the program is required to have his or her picture taken in a swimsuit. If you are significantly overweight, that can be an ordeal in and of itself, but the purpose is to compare it with an 'after' shot, also in a swimsuit, after you have completed the program. That makes it all worthwhile. There is a dramatic difference between virtually all the before/ after shots. This is a weight loss program that really works.
The exercise program  that is part of Body for Life is as specialized as the diet. As well as cardio exercise, there are exercises specifically designed to build muscle. These increase in intensity as you progress in the program. Building muscle is a very effective way of losing weight. Not only does muscle look good, allowing you to lose inches as well as pounds - but it also helps you lose weight. Muscle burns fat even when you're not actively engaged in exercising.
There is a good reason why the program has you eat five small meals instead of three larger ones. For one thing, it means you never get hungry, so you never feel deprived. If you are feeling deprived on a diet, you are much more likely to cheat. Also, if you go for long periods of time without eating, your metabolism - the rate at which your body burns calories - tends to slow down. In fact, the way that Sumo wrestlers pack on so much weight is by eating just one huge meal a day! On the other hand, if you eat at short, regular intervals during the day, you will boost your metabolism. Your body will burn energy faster, especially when you are exercising throughout the day, too!
The Body for Life program is for those who are serious about losing weight  and getting fit. Evidence shows that its unique blend of diet and exercise actually does work - many people have used this program to great effect. It requires some dedication - there is a detailed and specific plan that you have to follow each day. This might be a deterrent to some people who might not have the time to dedicate to their weight loss program. Once you have made the decision to participate, though, it's likely that the structured nature of the program may keep you on track better than if it were less structured. If you have a lot invested in your weight loss program, you'll put in the extra effort to make sure it works.
The Body for Life program has sometimes been criticized, on the basis of two factors. First, the program requires that you buy and take quite a few nutritional supplements. These are intended to make sure that you don't fall short of any nutrients while eating a somewhat restricted diet, and they are also formulated to help you lose weight  faster. However, it does mean that you will have to lay out some cash in order to follow this program. The second factor is that the program is not individualized. Everyone follows more or less the same program, whereas the trend today is to design individualized weight loss programs based on physical and psychological traits whenever possible.
Despite these factors, however, evidence shows that this is one weight loss program that really works. With this combination of diet and exercise, if you follow it faithfully, it's almost impossible to fail.
